Registered Nurse - Medical ICU - Full Time Position in Belcher, LA

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and competent Registered Nurse to join our Medical ICU team. This role involves providing both routine and complex nursing care, working towards long-term clinical goals, and managing the diverse needs of our patients and their families. You will practice independently while collaborating with other healthcare providers to deliver exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
• Demonstrate leadership in nursing practice through adherence to OneCHRISTUS Competencies.
• Utilize the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation—for all assigned patients.
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administer medications and treatments following protocols; monitor for side effects and effectiveness.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient histories, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
• Assess patients' learning needs and provide educational resources to patients and families.

Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is preferred.
• Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty is preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
• Licenses & Certifications: Current BLS and RN license in the state of employment or compact. Current ACLS certification required.

Position Requirements:
• Attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire.
• Be precepted by designated trained staff and complete required competency validations.
• Complete all annual competency verification requirements.

Schedule: 7PM - 7AM
