
Registered Nurse - Medical Specialties/Oncology in Arlington, MA
Job Description
Join our dedicated team at Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA), a community hospital serving a diverse population in the Boston metro-north region, as a Registered Nurse in the Medical Specialties Clinic. In this part-time role (20 hours/week, Monday to Friday), you will provide comprehensive care in areas such as Cardiology, Dermatology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Geriatrics, Hematology/Oncology, Infectious Disease, Neurology, and Pulmonary Medicine.
Summary: As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for planning and delivering exceptional patient care according to established Nursing Standards. You will demonstrate your skills and knowledge while caring for patients with complex needs and managing their treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough patient-centered assessments using appropriate techniques.
• Utilize evidence-based nursing interventions during clinical visits and phone consultations.
• Provide compassionate, culturally sensitive care tailored to patients of all ages.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans.
• Document care accurately to meet professional and accreditation standards.
• Coordinate care across various healthcare settings to ensure continuity of service.
• Support patients and their caregivers in health maintenance and self-efficacy skills.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance outpatient care services.

Qualifications:
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Current MA RN Licensure required.
• American Heart Association or Red Cross BLS certification required.
• Experience in an ambulatory nursing setting and infusion room preferred.
• Knowledge of chemotherapy and certifications are a plus.
• Ability to speak a second language is preferred.
