• Job Posting Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical Job Summary A travel Registered Nurse is needed for a 13-week assignment in the Medical Surgical Unit. The RN will provide patient care, administer medications, monitor vital signs, and collaborate with the healthcare team. Must have strong Medical Surgical experience and be proficient with Meditech charting. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Medical Surgical Unit. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians. Monitor vital signs and patient condition, reporting any changes to the healthcare team. Document patient care accurately and completely in Meditech. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans. Perform admissions, discharges, and assessments. Manage drains, chest tubes, and NG tubes. Provide ostomy and wound care. Assist with ambulation and positioning. Manage oxygen administration via nasal cannula, HFCL, Bi-Pap / C-Pap, and trach collar. Float within scope as needed. Required Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of Medical Surgical experience. Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or Compact license. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Experience with Meditech charting system.
