We do not draw labs from central lines to prevent infections, and nurse driven foley d/c protocol. We have great teamwork. We have Vocera communication devices. We have a team of trained nurses who perform peritoneal dialysis therapy for patients in the facility. We have Ambassadors who transport patients to procedures. We often have nursing students and residents on our unit and travelers should be prepared to work with students daily. Special Equipment : Vital signs machine, glucometer, SCDs, bladder scanner, vein finder, telemetry, wound vacs, IV pumps, pulse oximeters, chest tubes, tube feeding pumps (Kangaroo), tele sitters, tele psychiatric services, and oxygen delivery devices including CPAP and BiPAP. We have EKG techs. RNs administer MDIs. #Tier1 Travel Compliance RTO: Must be approved prior to assignment start. Preferably no RTO in the first weeks of assignment. WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS: Expect to work some holidays in rotation with staff, and as otherwise indicated in the assignment confirmation.
