Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Night, 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, schedule varies and includes weekends
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
• Float to Oncology Medical-Surgical and PCU units as needed to provide safe, high-quality patient care
• Monitor bedside telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias to drive timely interventions
• Administer and manage IV therapies, blood products, central lines and PICC lines with attention to best practices
• Provide respiratory support including HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP, tracheostomy care and ABG interpretation
• Support oncology-related care including monitoring for chemotherapy-related complications and neutropenic concerns
• Collaborate with Corrections Officers to ensure a secure environment while maintaining patient dignity and safety
• Respond as an effective member of Rapid Response/Code teams and coordinate interdisciplinary care
• Document thoroughly and efficiently in EPIC and use Pyxis for medication management
Qualifications
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Minimum 2 years of recent clinical experience (must meet within the last 3 years) with at least 1 year of current specialty experience for clinical pass
• Experience in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing and cardiac monitoring (dysrhythmia interpretation)
• Comfort working in a locked corrections unit and coordinating care with Corrections Officers
• Ability to work night shifts and variable weekend coverage
• Completion of 72-hour orientation (provided)
Knowledge & Skills
• EPIC documentation and Pyxis medication system proficiency
• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac dysrhythmia interpretation
• IV therapy, phlebotomy, central line and PICC line care/management
• Blood product administration and heparin protocol familiarity
• Tracheostomy care, HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP and ABG interpretation
• Management of insulin protocols/IV insulin drips and PCA familiarity
• Pre/post hemodialysis care, feeding tube management and surgical drain care
• Oncology patient care basics, chemotherapy monitoring (preferred), and infection control/PPE
