Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical in Brookston, TX

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Registered Nurse to join our Medical Surgical team. In this dynamic role, you will demonstrate your clinical expertise and provide both routine and complex care to our patients. You will play a crucial role in addressing the advanced psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families. Your ability to manage situations independently while continuing to develop your nursing skills is essential.

Responsibilities:
• Exceed expectations by demonstrating leadership skills in accordance with OneCHRISTUS Competencies.
• Deliver high-quality nursing care utilizing the nursing process, which includes assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Administer medications and treatments, monitoring patients for side effects and the effectiveness of prescribed care.
• Accurately document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
• Evaluate patient and family learning needs, provide necessary education, and identify appropriate resources.

Job Requirements:

Education/Skills:
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred.

Experience:
• Preferred 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty.

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Must hold an RN License in the state of employment or possess a compact license.
