Job Summary As a Registered Nurse in our Medicine Step-Down Unit, you will thrive in a collaborative and diverse environment, emphasizing patient-centered care. Reporting to the Nurse Manager, you will apply evidence-based practices per the State Nurse Practice Act and the hospital's policies. You will utilize your nursing expertise to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care strategies tailored to meet the holistic needs of patients and their families. The Medicine Step-Down Unit is an 18-bed facility that provides specialized care to patients facing complex medical challenges, including respiratory failure, gastrointestinal bleeding, liver and kidney injuries, sepsis, and substance withdrawal. Working alongside a team of Physician Assistants and Advanced Practice Registered Nurses under the guidance of a Critical Care Pulmonologist, you will be integral to our round-the-clock care delivery model. Qualifications • Current Connecticut RN License required prior to Orientation. • Graduate of an accredited nursing school (BSN required). • BLS certification from the American Heart Association required prior to Orientation.
