Unit: Med/Surg Cardiac
Status: Full Time | Non-Exempt
Shift: Shift 3 – Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend
On Call: No
Remote Work: Never

Unit Description
This Med/Surg Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (PCU) specializes in caring for patients with congestive heart failure and other complex cardiac conditions. The team delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative and supportive environment focused on continuous learning and professional growth.
Position Summary
The Clinical Nurse II (CN II) independently cares for a group of patients using the nursing process and established clinical standards. This role involves delegating appropriate patient care activities to other members of the healthcare team while maintaining professional accountability and ongoing development. The CN II may function as a preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.
Required
Experience
1 year of RN acute care experience, or
6 months of RN acute care experience with prior LPN experience and completion of competency assessment
Education
Required
: Associate Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing
Preferred
: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
Credentials
Required
:
Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license
Basic Life Support (BLS)
ACLS (if required by department)
Additional Information
Weekend Rotation Required (every Other Weekend)
No on-call requirements
No remote work
