Job Summary and Qualifications We are on the lookout for an experienced Registered Nurse to become a valued member of our Med/Surg/Progressive Care Float Pool. In this role, you will deliver exceptional clinical care and support to patients in medical-surgical and telemetry/progressive care units. Your responsibilities will include: • Assessing, planning, intervening, and evaluating the care of Med/Surg, Telemetry, and Progressive Care level patients. • Educating patients and their families about medications and treatment plans. • Maintaining accurate patient records, including posting tests and examination results. • Administering medications as per physician directives. Qualifications: • Valid Florida Registered Nurse license or appropriate compact licensure (active FL RN license required within 60 days if compact license is held). • Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred. • Strongly preferred: Previous experience in an acute care setting. • Current American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification. • Current American Heart Association ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification (6 months grace period post-hire). • Current NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification (6-month grace period given from hire date). • Preferred certifications: CCRN, ONC, PCCN, Board Certified in Cardiac/Vascular Nursing, or CMSRN. • Excellent critical thinking, service excellence, interpersonal communication skills, and proficiency in PC skills.
