Description
This position reports to the Director of Med/Surg/Peds. Supervision of ancillary staff is required, with clear, open communications driving interactions with co-workers, physicians and other hospital departments. Provides professional nursing care to patients of all ages, from the young infant to the elderly adult. The Med‑Surg RN performs patient assessments, interprets clinical data and plans of care utilizing an interdisciplinary approach.
The RN collaborates with the physician and other hospital specialty departments, implements nursing interventions based on the individualized plan of care given, patient response and outcomes. This position requires well-developed organizational skills and the ability to prioritize patient care and nursing assignments. The RN at this level must be comfortable acting in the role of patient/family advocate. The likely candidate must be expected to experience prolonged, extensive or considerable standing/walking lifting, positions, pushes and/or transfer patients;
considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching.
Qualifications
Nevada RN license and BLS required; ACLS and PALS within 90 days of hire.
