This nursing position is focused on delivering high-quality patient care through the nursing process, adhering to the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses, and Scope & Standards of Practice. You will lead and support licensed and ancillary team members, ensuring accountability for patient outcomes while respecting cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity. As part of the team, you will engage in activities that align with unit and department strategic goals, demonstrating professionalism and accountability in nursing practice. Education • Required: Registered nurse diploma. • Preferred: Associate or bachelor's degree in nursing. Work Experience • Required: None. Certifications • Required: Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice. • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. • Preferred: Certification in clinical specialty area. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) • Proficient in the use of computers, software, and web-based applications. • Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to present information clearly and professionally. • Excellent interpersonal skills. • Strong organizational and time management skills; able to work independently. • Demonstrates good judgment. Job Duties • Utilizing the nursing process effectively in patient care delivery. • Assessing learning needs and implementing appropriate teaching strategies for patients, families, and other disciplines. • Communicating, delegating, and managing nursing team resources efficiently, while serving as a leader within the interdisciplinary team. • Using data, information, and knowledge to evaluate and promote change for optimal patient outcomes. • Fostering a positive environment that enhances patient satisfaction and employee morale. • Adapting behavior to meet the specific needs of diverse patient populations. • Performing other related duties as required. Physical and Environmental Demands The physical demands of this role include lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally and up to 50 pounds frequently. The job requires significant walking, standing, and possible exposure to blood, body fluids, and tissues.
