Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join the team at The Ridge Recovery Center, a cutting-edge facility located in Windham, CT. In this role, you will be crucial in delivering direct nursing care to individuals managing substance use challenges. Your responsibilities will encompass:
• Assessing client conditions and administering medications.
• Managing withdrawal symptoms while providing health and wellness education.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support clients on their recovery journey.
The ideal candidate will exhibit exceptional interpersonal skills to nurture a therapeutic environment and inspire clients to reach their treatment goals.
Qualifications
• Active CT RN license.
• Minimum of an Associate's degree in nursing; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• CPR & AED certification to be obtained within six months of employment.
• Preferred accreditation in Addictions Nursing (CARN) or Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing (or actively pursuing credentialing).
• At least one year nursing experience in Psychiatric or Substance Abuse Treatment is preferred.
• Experience as a CNA, Mental Health Worker, or in a similar role is advantageous for new nursing graduates.
