Job Summary and Responsibilities • Lead the delivery of professional nursing care aimed at ensuring the comfort and well-being of both mothers and newborns. • Use the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care, along with teaching for patients and their families. • Implement medically prescribed interventions to optimize patient care. Qualifications • Education: A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required or enrollment in a BSN or advanced degree program, with completion within 5 years of hire. RNs with 10 or more years of experience may be exempt. • Preferred Education: A Master's in Nursing. • Licensure: Must hold and maintain current registered nurse licensure with the North Carolina Board of Nursing; eNLC (Enhanced Nurse License Compact) license may be applicable. • Certifications: BLS Healthcare Provider certification is required, with national certification in the specialty area preferred. • Experience: A minimum of one year of hospital nursing experience is required.
