The nurse will be responsible for managing a patient ratio of 1:5, with a chance for 1:6-7. Weekend shifts are required, with a minimum of 3 weekend shifts per 6 weeks. The position does not require on-call duties. The clinician will float within their scope to meet facility needs. The nurse should have experience with mental health diagnoses among patients. All staff will have access to interdisciplinary support from various services. The daily patient census is expected to be around 24. Charting is conducted using a specific electronic system, which is a hard-stop requirement. Candidates must be prepared to go into the lab within 48-72 hours after accepting the position. The attendance policy is strict, considering any missed scheduled shifts as unexcused. Maximum allowable time off is 5 days during the 13-week assignment, with no requests permitted around major holidays. Travelers are not allowed any additional time off after submission of their application. This position is open to local candidates. A reference from a unit supervisor or manager in a relevant specialty is required. The modules required for pre-start must be completed prior to beginning the assignment. All candidates must be familiar with the electronic charting system and meet its requirements. Missed shifts may result in warnings, and repeated offenses may lead to cancellation. Candidates must not have worked previously in this capacity within the past year.
