Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: 4x12-hour day shifts, 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM (4 shifts per week, variable days), every-other-weekend coverage required — Day shift
Hours per Week: 60
Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
• Assess and monitor adult MS/Telemetry patients, using telemetry to detect and respond to dysrhythmias
• Deliver compassionate LTAC-level care including tracheostomy and ventilator management
• Manage vascular access: central lines, PICCs, peripheral IVs, blood product administration and phlebotomy
• Provide wound care and Wound VAC management for complex wound patients
• Support renal care needs including pre/post hemodialysis management and continuous bladder irrigation
• Administer and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips as appropriate to protocols and escalate when needed
• Document thoroughly and accurately in Epic to ensure continuity of care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (Respiratory, PT, Pharmacy, IV Teams, etc.) to optimize patient outcomes
• Teach patients and families about disease management, meds, and discharge plans
Qualifications
• Active RN license (state licensure required; pending licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 3 years of relevant nursing experience (MS/Telemetry/Stepdown/PCU experience preferred)
• Travel nursing experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• BLS and ACLS preferred
• Comfort with a 1:5 patient ratio on days and nights
• Ability and willingness to float within scope to like units as needed
• Ability to complete a 24-hour facility orientation
Knowledge & Skills
• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Tracheostomy and ventilator care/management
• Hemodialysis support, pre/post dialysis care and renal failure management
• Central line, PICC line and peripheral IV care and management
• Phlebotomy and blood product administration
• Wound care and Wound VAC management
• High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) and oxygen delivery systems
• Interpretation of ABGs and basic ventilator troubleshooting
• Familiarity with IV insulin protocols, heparin protocols and titratable cardiac/vasoactive drips
• Isolation precautions, PPE use and safe infection-control practices
