Description Join our dedicated team as a Registered Nurse in the Neonatal ICU, where you will provide essential care for our tiniest patients. You will be responsible for delivering both routine and complex nursing care while demonstrating your ability to manage the dynamics of clinical nursing. This role encourages continuous development in coping with clinical contingencies and involves teamwork through appropriate delegation. Key Responsibilities: • Exceed expectations in the OneCHRISTUS Competencies which include promoting leadership in self and others. • Provide comprehensive nursing care following the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for your assigned patients. • Address the psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families according to your nursing practice level. • Administer medications and treatments following established protocols, closely monitoring for effectiveness and side effects. • Maintain accurate documentation of patient histories, symptoms, medications, and care provided. • Assess the educational needs of patients and families, offering guidance and resources as necessary. Job Requirements: Education/Skills: • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred. Experience: • One year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred. Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications: • Current BLS certification required. • Active RN License in state of employment or compact. Position Requirements: • All newly hired experienced RNs must complete New Nurses Orientation within 30 days of hire. • New hires will receive preceptorship from a trained staff member, with onboarding validated by completion of competency requirements. • Complete all annual competency verification requirements. Preferred Experience: • Completion of a Perinatal RN Residency program or recent practice in a Perinatal Setting. Required Certifications: • Current STABLE certification. • Current NRP certification. All associates must meet certification requirements within the designated timeframe according to the CHRISTUS Health policy. Experience levels will determine the applicable credential grace periods. Work Schedule: 7PM - 7AM Work Type: Per Diem As Needed
