Position Summary:
As a Registered Nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), you will utilize the nursing process to provide high-quality, patient-centered care. You will coordinate care by collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, patients, and their families. Effective communication will be essential as you assess and respond to changes in patient condition and treatment responses.
Your role will involve:
• Demonstrating knowledge of growth and development principles across the lifespan.
• Providing age-appropriate care for our diverse patient population.
• Promoting nursing professionalism and practice through supportive interactions.
You will report to the Clinical Nurse Manager.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current licensure in the State of Connecticut.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required upon hiring or during the new employee orientation period, with ongoing competency maintained throughout your employment.
