Responsibilities:
As part of Presbyterian's comprehensive year-long Transition to Practice Nurse Residency Program, newly graduated nurses will kickstart their professional careers with a strong focus on quality nursing practice. Participants will earn continuing education credits upon successful completion of the program.
We invite students nearing graduation and newly licensed nurses who have graduated from an accredited college within the last 12 months to apply. Eligible candidates must hold a current New Mexico RN license and an Associate's Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred). Residents will be employed full-time with access to full benefits, and hours will be flexible across various locations.
Our program fosters growth in the following practice areas:
• Critical Care
• Emergency Department
• Progressive Care
• Medical/Surgical Care
• Family Birthing and Mother/Baby Care
• Pediatric Care Unit, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit
• Inpatient Pediatric Hematology/Oncology
• Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
• Inpatient Hematology/Oncology
• Operating Room

• Education:
Minimum Associate Degree in Nursing
Degree from an accredited nursing program preferred
• Credentials:
Registered Nurse-NM (State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License)
BLS certification REQUIRED at the time of hire.
