Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Travel experience is required from any number of months.

Must have at least 12 months of Pediatric Post Anesthesia Care Unit experience.

References

Candidates must provide 2 references from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Connecticut license or compact license

Work Settings, Ambulatory/Outpatient, Phase I PACU, Pre-Post, Types of Anesthesia, Conscious Sedation, General, Local, Monitored Anesthesia Care (MAC), Nerve Blocks, Cardiac Monitoring, Dysrhythmia recognition/management, Surgery Cases, ENT, Ophthalmology, Ortho, Plastics, Professional Topics and Skills, Malignant Hyperthermia Protocol, Pain assessment & management, RASS (Richmond Agitation Sedation Scale), Medications, Narcotics/Opioid Analgesics, Reversal agents

Required Credentials: Government issued photo ID. Clear copy of front and back of driver’s license is required. Passport is acceptable in lieu of driver’s license. BLS ACLS PALS must be AHA only. RQI and HeartCode Complete are acceptable.

Shift & Scheduling Requirements: PreOp is 6-3:30 / PACU 6:15-3:45pm. 1 'late' shift a week: until the last patient leaves the PACU, typically no later than 4:30/5.
