Registered Nurse - Nursing Leadership in Alamogordo, NM

Summary:
The skilled Registered Nurse operates independently within a dynamic clinical environment, effectively managing complex situations while providing both routine and specialized patient care. This role emphasizes long-term strategic planning and continuous development of clinical management skills, including delegation and assignment of tasks to optimize patient care.

Responsibilities:
• Demonstrate proficiency in OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Provide comprehensive nursing care in line with the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, employing the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Address the psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families, adapting to the complexity of individual cases.
• Administer medications and treatments following established protocols, monitoring for any side effects and measuring treatment effectiveness.
• Document patient histories, symptoms, medications administered, and care provided meticulously.
• Assess educational needs and deliver appropriate information to patients, family members, and caregivers, identifying pertinent issues and available resources.

Job Requirements:

Education/Skills:
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.

Experience:
• Preferred 1 year of experience in the relevant nursing specialty.

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:
• BLS certification required.
• Must hold an active RN License in the state of employment or have a compact license.
