Registered Nurse Observation in Vero Beach, FL

Job Title • Registered Nurse – Observation Location • Vero Beach, FL Schedule / Job Type • Night shift, 3×12 hours • Full-time, duration to be determined Key Responsibilities • Provide direct patient care in an observation unit setting, monitoring patient conditions and responding to clinical needs. • Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans. • Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols. • Document patient progress and care interventions accurately in electronic health records. • Follow all facility policies and procedures to ensure safety and quality standards are met. • Float within scope to support other hospital units as needed. Required Qualifications • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for the state of Florida. • Minimum 18 months of recent Tele/Acute Care experience, with relevant PCU experience. • Vasoactive drip administration experience is required. • Active BLS and ACLS certifications (must be current at time of submission). • NIHSS certification preferred or obtained prior to start. • Must have permanent Ohio license in hand at submission; compact licenses are accepted for starts in 2023. • Negative 10 Panel drug screen and nicotine test (for non-exempt roles) within the past 12 months. Preferred Experience / Skills • Previous experience in observation units or telemetry. • Ability to quickly prioritize time-sensitive modules and certifications. • Experience with EPIC charting system.
