Roles & Responsibilities • Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care in an oncology clinic setting • Administer treatments and vaccines per protocol while closely monitoring patient response • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and implement individualized care plans • Document patient encounters and clinical interventions accurately in Cerner • Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, side-effect management and follow-up • Identify changes in patient condition and escalate concerns to the care team promptly • Participate in unit initiatives to improve patient experience and clinical outcomes Qualifications • Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license required • BLS certification required • ONS or ONCC certification required (or active ONS membership/certification) • COVID-19 vaccination required • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (oncology experience strongly preferred) • Experience with Cerner charting system preferred • Ability to complete a 12-hour orientation Education • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN not required Knowledge & Skills • Oncology nursing principles and chemotherapy/infusion familiarity • Acute care nursing knowledge and clinic workflow experience • Proficiency with Cerner electronic charting • Strong patient education and communication skills • Clinical assessment, medication administration, and infection control best practices Benefits • Supportive team environment where your oncology expertise is valued • Comprehensive orientation with 12 hours dedicated to getting you comfortable • Licensure and certification support guidance to help keep credentials current • Work-life balance with predictable day shifts and guaranteed 40 hours/week • Opportunities to sharpen oncology skills and work with Cerner charting • Paid time to recharge and professional development encouragement • A collaborative acute care setting focused on patient-centered care • Referral and internal recognition programs to celebrate great work Travel Perks: Explore Redding, CA Redding is a hub for outdoor adventure — explore the iconic Sundial Bridge and Turtle Bay Exploration Park, paddle or boat on nearby Shasta Lake, hike local trails with scenic river views, or take day trips to Lassen Volcanic National Park and Whiskeytown National Recreation Area for waterfalls and swimming.
