Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City is hiring for an Infusion Registered Nurse for their Oncology Outpatient Oncology and Hematology Clinic. This position is part of a rapidly growing program and will assist with research studies, provide patient and family education, and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary innovative care team committed to improving patient outcomes. This is a high volume fast-paced Magnet designated clinic. This clinic is INCP and QOPI Certified.

We will provide assistance to become Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Certified within 90 days of your employment and will require a BSN.

HOURS: Monday – Friday 8 AM to 4:30 PM. This position will require 1 weekend shift 3-4 times a year and 1 Holiday shift every 2 years.

May be asked to float to other locations: Overland Park, North, Lees Summit

We are looking for experienced nurses with Oncology experience and strong IV skills. To be successful, you will need to be organized, team oriented, adaptable, and enjoy helping others. We are seeking compassionate nurses who possess strong relationship building skills and enjoy going above and beyond for their patients while keeping the whole patient in mind.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize the nursing process.
  • Coordinates care w/ Multidisciplinary Team.
  • Delegates tasks.
  • Formal or informal leadership within unit or department. 
  • Administer chemotherapy and Immunotherapy
  • Patient education

Job Requirements

Applicable Experience:

ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate - Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation, Registered Nurse (KS) - National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS), Registered Nurse (MO) - National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS)

Bachelor's Degree - Nursing
