Founded in 1921, Straub Benioff Medical Center includes a 159-bed hospital in Honolulu, a network of neighborhood clinics and a visiting specialist program that reaches throughout the state of Hawai'i. Straub is home to the Pacific Region’s only multidisciplinary burn treatment center. The hospital consistently brings new technologies and innovative medical practices to Hawai'i, such as minimally invasive cardiac surgery and total joint replacement. The Oncology Care Unit department strives to provide competent and safe care to patients admitted for acute nursing interventions of 24 hours or more. Our highly trained and professional staff treats people recovering from serious illness requiring telemetry monitoring, oncology treatment, orthopedic and major surgeries. Medication and treatments are provided in a warm and caring environment that facilitates swift recovery. As the Registered Nurse, you will have the opportunity to provide professional and compassionate nursing services to the Straub community through the assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation and documentation of patient care in our Oncology Care Unit. You will also function as an associate to a charge nurse and begin to assume charge nurse responsibilities with time. We are looking for someone with excellent patient care and communication skills and a commitment to creating a healthier Hawai‘i. Location: Straub Benioff Medical Center Work Schedule: Rotating - 12 Hours Work Type: Per Diem FTE: 0.475000 Bargaining Unit: Hawaii Nurses Association Exempt: No Req ID 31917 Pay Range: 53.17 - 70.89 USD per hour Category: Nursing Minimum Qualifications: Current Hawai’i Registered Nurse license. Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card. One (1) year recent acute care Registered Nurse experience in Telemetry. Preferred Qualifications: One (1) year recent acute care Registered Nurse experience in Oncology. Two (2) years of recent acute care Registered Nurse experience in Telemetry.
