
Registered Nurse Oncology | Gillette, Wyoming in Gillette, WY
Job Description
Providing specialized nursing care in outpatient oncology infusion, this role supports patients through critical treatments in a compassionate and professional environment. Operating under the guidance of the Infusion Center Manager, the registered nurse ensures comprehensive assessment, planning, and delivery of patient-centered care. The position emphasizes collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to uphold best practices aligned with professional nursing standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and document findings accurately.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans addressing physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs.
• Administer intravenous therapies and other infusion treatments safely and effectively.
• Monitor patient responses, adjust care plans as needed, and document all interventions.
• Educate patients and families about treatment protocols and health management.
• Participate actively in quality improvement initiatives and maintain a safe care environment.
• Adhere strictly to ethical practice standards and institutional policies.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Valid Wyoming RN license.
• Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) certification strongly preferred.
• Experience in medical/surgical or oncology nursing highly desirable.
• Proficient in electronic medical records, preferably Epic.
• Current certifications in CPR and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• Strong time management, communication, and critical thinking abilities.
