Job Description
The Orlando VA Medical Center is seeking an Oncology Hematology Registered Nurse in Daytona Beach and Viera FL to provide and/or supervise direct patient care. The Oncology Hematology Registered Nurse assumes responsibility for the coordination of care focused on patient education, self-management, and customer satisfaction throughout the continuum of care. The Registered Nurse also administers medications and procedures per established policies and guidelines.

The Oncology/Hematology Registered Nurse (RN) is a clinical expert who uses advanced specialized knowledge and judgement for delivery of high quality and evidence-based care to oncology patients and their families. Uses a team approach to identify, analyze, and resolve patient care problems with measurable outcomes. They provide a safe working environment while administering, handling, and disposing of antineoplastic drugs and medical waste. They oversee the administration and management of various medical procedures and treatments in the oncology setting, including vascular access devices and infusion treatments.
