Location: Avera McKennan Hospital Worker Type: Regular Work Shift: Rotating days/evenings/nights/weekends (United States of America) Pay Range: $32.50 - $48.50 The pay range for this position is based on experience. A Brief Overview As a Registered Nurse in our Oncology Unit, you will deliver exceptional nursing care by developing individualized nursing diagnoses, setting care objectives, and providing comprehensive support to patients and their families. You will play a pivotal role in monitoring patient conditions and adapting care plans as necessary. What you will do • Provide holistic patient care by collaborating with physicians and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care plans are communicated and executed effectively. • Develop and implement nursing care plans through detailed patient evaluations and assessments, adjusting interventions as required to meet patient needs. • Educate patients and their families by establishing clear healthcare goals, ensuring understanding of healthcare conditions, medications, and necessary self-care practices. • Assess and evaluate patient care outcomes continually, measuring results against established standards and modifying care plans for optimal recovery. • Maintain a safe and healthy clinical environment by adhering to infection control protocols and regulatory standards, ensuring patient safety at all times. • Document patient care diligently in medical records to ensure continuity and accuracy of care. • Ensure equipment functionality by following usage guidelines and promptly addressing any maintenance issues. • Keep medical supplies organized and stocked, anticipating needs and managing inventory effectively. • Stay current with nursing practices and competencies as requested by leadership. Essential Qualifications The ability to work the required hours and effectively communicate across diverse situations is essential. Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience: • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license from the state of practice upon hire. Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience: • 1-3 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting.
