Responsibilities:
• Deliver direct patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation of individual patient needs.
• Collaborate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure coordinated care.
• Perform comprehensive assessments, documenting data accurately.
• Adhere to protocols and standards of care, administering medications and treatments as required.
• Identify and address patient and family educational needs throughout the care process.
• Evaluate patient outcomes and progress consistently.
• Demonstrate competency in emergency situations and provide leadership in the establishment of patient care through effective communication.
• Assist and guide other healthcare team members, ensuring tasks are completed by qualified personnel.
• Participate in the orientation of new staff and serve as a professional role model.
• Engage in continuous professional development and uphold established clinical standards.
• Partake in department governance and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
• Active State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License.
• Education: Degree from an accredited nursing program preferred; minimum ADN with expectation of BSN completion within 5 years.
