Job Title

Key Responsibilities
• Provide peri-operative nursing care as a Circulating RN in the operating room.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and older adult patients.
• Coordinate with surgical team members including surgeons, anesthesiologists, pre- and post-operative nurses, and surgical techs.
• Maintain professional nursing standards and documentation using computerized charting systems.
• May train and mentor other nursing staff.

Required Qualifications
• Graduation from an accredited Nursing Program.
• Current AK RN license.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification.
• Certified Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) by the American Heart Association.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in peri-operative care.
• Ability to work varied shifts including days, evenings, nights, and on-call as needed.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Moderate sedation and Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) experience highly preferred.
• Experience with computerized charting systems such as Meditech.
• Ability to float to other units/departments when necessary.
