Registered Nurse - Operating Room (Full-Time) in Tesuque, NM

Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse who will play a crucial role in coordinating and implementing exceptional patient care tailored to the age and needs of our diverse patient population. Requirements Minimum Qualifications: Education: Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nursing. Certification/Licenses: Must have a current Registered Nurse license from New Mexico or a current Compact state license. BLS Certification is required upon hire or within 2 weeks. All other necessary certifications must be achieved within 6 months of hire. Nurses with existing certifications must maintain them without a grace period for renewal. Skills: • Proficient knowledge and skills suitable for the age and type of patient population served • Understanding and sensitivity to patients' rights during care delivery • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, adjusted to the developmental age of the patient Experience: Previous nursing experience is preferred but may vary depending on patient care areas. Nature of Supervision: Responsible to: Patient Care Director or Manager Environment: • Potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens and infectious diseases • Work within a clean and well-ventilated smoke-free environment • Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule due to unexpected changes and emergencies Physical Requirements: You will be required to handle emergency situations and must be able to stand and walk extensively during shifts. The role demands considerable physical effort for patient handling, equipment, and supply movement. Key abilities include reaching, stooping, bending, and good manual dexterity and coordination. Normal or correctable hearing and visual acuity are essential, as is the ability to differentiate colors.
