Job Summary
As a Registered Nurse – Operating Room, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our OR department. You will be responsible for preparing the OR for surgery, managing patient care, and maintaining a safe and sterile environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Assess patient conditions before surgery and ensure the OR is prepared with all necessary supplies, implants, instrumentation, and equipment.
• Maintain a clean and sterile OR environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety standards.
• Pass medical instruments to surgeons during operation and monitor patients’ vital signs.
• Evaluate postoperative patients and review charts for completeness, in accordance with documentation protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements
• Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license.
• BLS Certification required or within 2 weeks of hire date.
• All other required certifications must be obtained within 6 months of hire date.
