
Registered Nurse - OR Circulator, Orthopedic ASC (casual position) in Bloomington, MN
Job Description
TRIA is looking to hire an RN, OR Circulator to join our surgery center team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.
Position Summary:
Must be able to function independently in a fast-paced work environment. Teamwork and priority setting is a must. One year of operating room experience and orthopedic experience preferred. Primarily day shift with varying start times (0615-0900). Possibility to work one Saturday shift during fourth quarter based on surgical volumes.
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care in ambulatory settings. Patient care may be a direct activity of the RN, or it may be to coordinate and supervise patient care provided by assistive personnel. Utilizes a systematic approach to nursing practice incorporating assessment, planning, nursing diagnosis, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, recognized professional standards and Park Nicollet Health Services policy. Previous experience preferred in the designated area.
Work Schedule:
Casual position - minimum 2 shifts per month.
Circulating nurse position in the OR
M-F rotating start times 6-9am
Required Qualifications:
• Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
• BSN / Baccalaureate degree in nursing
• Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
• Valid Minnesota Registered Nurse License
• BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Proven proficiency in the operation of the following: Personal Computer, Telephone, Fax Machine, Photocopier, Printer, and electronic medical record.
• This position requires familiarity and compliance with matters of law, regulations and internal policies affecting the employment relationship, (including but not limited to FMLA, ADA, discrimination, and harassment laws).
• Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.
