• Schedule: 10:00 am-7:00 pm, 3 8-hour shifts, On-Call Rotation
• Status: Part Time
• Department: Operating Room
• Location: Coastal Carolina Medical Center
• Unit Info: 4 OR rooms, 1:1 ratio, range of procedures.
• Coastal Carolina Medical Center is the first hospital in South Carolina to achieve Center of Excellence in Robotic Surgery
• We use the da Vinci Surgical System, which allows for minimally invasive procedures through small incisions
• Recognized by the American Heart Association with a Gold Plus – Stroke award for its stroke care.

Responsibilities
• Establishes an authentic personalized relationship with the patient and their chosen support system.
• Collaborates with physicians and other team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate an individualized plan of care that promotes optimal health.
• Provides safe and effective nursing care to all patients through the performance of specific duties during surgical and other invasive procedures.
• Performs routine circulating and/or scrub duties according to AORN standards and established policies and procedures of the department of surgery.
Qualifications
• Education: 2 Year/Associate Degree, required, 4 Year / Bachelor Degree, preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
• Experience: Two years relevant experience, required.
• Licensure/Certification:
• Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within 6 months of hire or transfer into the department.
