Job Summary and Qualifications
As a Registered Nurse, your primary responsibility will be to deliver exceptional, patient-centered care in accordance with department requirements and nursing standards. You will closely assess patient conditions, provide comprehensive care, and act as an advocate for patients and their families, adhering to our core values.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough assessments of patients during admission and throughout shifts, quickly identifying and reporting any changes in their condition.
• Perform medical procedures based on physician orders, ensuring accurate and prompt documentation within patient records.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor for therapeutic responses, taking action as necessary to address any adverse effects.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, potential side effects, and aftercare, ensuring clear understanding of complex terms.
Required Qualifications:
• Licensure/Certifications: RN licensed in Texas or a Compact state, BCLS certification.
• Education: Completion of an RN/LVN program leading to licensure; ability to read and write basic English for patient care documentation.
• Experience: No prior experience required.
Preferred Qualifications:
• 1-2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Specialty certification/training as applicable.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Familiarity with computer systems.
• Ability to lift more than 100 pounds with assistance.
• Team management and collaborative skills.
• Problem-solving abilities.
