Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Registered Nurse, you will be pivotal in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care that aligns with departmental requirements and state standards. You will collaborate with medical providers and the care team to ensure comprehensive, personalized, and compassionate care while adhering to established nursing models like 'Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.' You will advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying our organization's mission and values to foster outstanding patient experiences and positive clinical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
• Evaluate patients' conditions upon admission and during each shift, quickly identifying and reporting any changes.
• Perform procedures and monitor patient status according to medical instructions while documenting care accurately and promptly.
• Respond to patient needs with urgency, proactively anticipating and resolving issues.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care, ensuring understanding by simplifying complex medical terms.

Qualifications:

Licensure/Certifications:
• Active RN licensure in Texas—Required
• BCLS certification—Required
• ACLS certification—Required (must be obtained within 6 months of hire)

Education/Experience:
• Bachelor's in Nursing Science—Preferred
• Associate's degree or Diploma in Nursing—Required

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
• 2 years of experience in Medical or Orthopedic Nursing—Preferred
• ANCC Medical Surgical or Orthopedic Nurse Certification—Preferred
• Ability to read and write basic English—Required
• Effective oral and written communication skills—Required
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills—Required
• Ability to listen, empathize, and address the needs of patients, families, and partners—Required
• Basic computer literacy—Required
