Registered Nurse - PACU & Nurse Navigator in Nashville, TN

We are seeking experienced PACU Nurses & Navigators for our ambulatory surgery center who demonstrate the values of our company by caring like family. You will ensure safe and effective nursing care rendered both pre and postoperatively until the patient is dismissed from the facility. The successful candidates will be responsible for providing patient care in an ambulatory surgery center setting and must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team. Responsibilities: • Assess patient needs and provide appropriate care in a timely manner. • Prepare patients’ care area adequately and ensure necessary equipment and supplies are provided. • Provide direct patient care in medical-surgical, surgery, perioperative care, neurology, wound care, pain medicine, orthopedics, and postoperative recovery care. • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians. • Monitor vital signs and document changes in patient condition. • Provide education to patients and families regarding medical conditions and treatments. • Assist with the admission, discharge, and transfer of patients. • Assist with the preparation of the ambulatory surgery center for procedures. • Ensure your patients meet discharge criteria. • Pre-operative and post-operative follow-up phone calls.
