Registered Nurse - PACU in Petaluma, CA

Duties • Provide comprehensive care in pre-op, PACU Phase I and II, and ambulatory/outpatient settings. • Administer medications, including antiarrhythmics, anticoagulation therapy, and emergency medications. • Manage arterial lines, dysrhythmia recognition, and cardiac monitoring. • Perform IV therapy, phlebotomy, and blood product administration. • Conduct pre/post-operative procedures and patient education. • Participate in interdisciplinary support and collaboration with teams like Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Pharmacy. • Float to pre-op and Phase I and II as required. • Provide weekend coverage every other weekend and participate in on-call duties. Skills • Experience with Epic charting system. • Certifications in ACLS, BLS, PALS. • Proficiency in managing various surgical cases including vascular, neuro/spine, and plastics. • Skilled in airway assessment, care of ventilated patients, and chest tube management. • Knowledgeable in pain assessment, PCA pump management, and procedural sedation. Experience • Minimum of 1 year of experience, with preference for ICU/ED experience in addition to PACU. • Experience with patient ratios, particularly in a teaching or community hospital setting, is preferred but not mandatory. • Travel experience is not required.
