DescriptionJob Title: Registered Nurse - Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
Job Summary:We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort during the recovery process.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition post-anesthesia.- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.- Assess patients' recovery progress and respond to any complications or emergencies.- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding post-operative care.- Collaborate with the surgical team and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and progress.- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients.
Qualifications:- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.- Previous experience in PACU, critical care, or similar nursing environment is an advantage.- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
Skills:- Excellent patient care and interpersonal skills.- Proficient in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.- Strong organizational and time management abilities.- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.- Commitment to continuous professional development and education.- Requires regular and predictable attendance.
