PCU Registered Nurse Job Summary Registered Nurse needed for a 13-week travel assignment in the PCU at the Heart Hospital of New Mexico at Lovelace Medical Center in Albuquerque, NM. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of PCU experience, with cardiovascular experience preferred. The RN will provide direct patient care, administer medications, monitor patient progress, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities • Provide direct patient care in a PCU setting. • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. • Monitor patient vital signs and assess patient condition. • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans. • Document patient care accurately and completely. • Respond to patient needs and emergencies. • Float to like units within their scope as needed. Required Qualifications • Minimum of 1 year of PCU experience (2 years preferred). • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico or compact state. • BLS certification. • ACLS certification. • Cardiovascular Experience required • Ability to float to other like units within scope.
