The nurse will provide care for patients with varying complex medical conditions. The nurse will work a ratio of 1:4-5. Every other weekend coverage is required, with a minimum of 6 weekend shifts during a 6-week schedule period. The nurse will have a home base but may float to other units or locations as needed. Previous charge experience is preferred. Strong skills in telemetry, including interpretation of dysrhythmias and management of cardiac telemetry, are essential. Experience with IV insulin protocols, accessing/managing ports, and blood product administration is required. The nurse should be comfortable managing various lines, including central lines and PICC lines. The role involves a high level of patient interaction, with adult and geriatric patient populations. Daily census may vary but is expected to be approximately 43 patients. The interdisciplinary team will include IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and more.
