Registered Nurse - PCU/Telemetry Location: Columbus, OH Start Date: 03-09-2026 End Date: 06-08-2026 Contract Type: Travel Contract Shift Type: Rotating nights, 3x12-hour (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), primarily weekdays with occasional weekends; weekend coverage every other weekend. Night shift. Roles & Responsibilities • Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to adults in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) • Maintain an approximate patient ratio of 1 nurse to 5 patients while prioritizing safety • Monitor telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias promptly to guide care • Perform IV starts, manage central and peripheral lines, and support phlebotomy needs • Use Epic for accurate, timely documentation and care coordination • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory, PT, pharmacy and social services • Respond to rapid response calls and participate in emergency cardiac monitoring and interventions • Support special procedures and post-procedure recovery (e.g., kidney biopsy recovery, paracentesis) Qualifications • Minimum 4 years of MS/Telemetry experience considered; at least 2 years PCU experience required • Current ACLS and BLS (ACLS/BCLS) certifications required • Familiarity and comfort using Epic for charting and documentation • Demonstrated skill with telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management • Experience with IV therapy and IV starts; PICC and central line management preferred • Previous travel nursing experience preferred Knowledge & Skills • Telemetry and cardiac monitoring expertise • Dysrhythmia interpretation and emergency cardiac response • IV therapy, IV starts, central and peripheral line care • PICC line management and port access • Phlebotomy and basic procedural recovery care • Non-invasive airway management and oxygen delivery (nasal cannula) • Epic electronic health record proficiency • Comfort working in PCU/Stepdown, MS/Tele and intermediate care settings Benefits • Generous housing stipend and travel support to make relocation easy • Medical, dental & vision coverage so you and your family are protected • 401K retirement savings plan to help you plan for the future • Life insurance and additional protections for peace of mind • Paid time off to recharge after intense stretch runs • Travel reimbursement and licensure assistance to simplify getting started • Referral bonus program — bring a friend and earn rewards • A supportive, interdisciplinary team that values your expertise and growth Travel Perks: Explore Columbus, OH Columbus offers a lively mix of culture and outdoor activities.
