Position Responsibilities
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments upon admission.
• Develop individualized care plans based on specific patient needs.
• Plan and execute patient education and discharge strategies.
• Work independently with treatments and procedures, ensuring compliance with established protocols.
• Administer medications safely and accurately, following hospital guidelines.
• Document patient care activities in a timely manner.
• Continuously reassess and modify patient care plans based on changing conditions.
• Assist in leading and mentoring nursing staff in their roles.
• Create a healing environment that promotes patient and family well-being.
• Uphold high standards of professionalism and cleanliness in the workplace.

Requirements
• Must be licensed by the State of Tennessee.
• Hold a nursing diploma or degree from an accredited institution.
• Experience in pediatric emergency or hospital care is preferred.
• Must complete BLS training within 90 days and PALS training within six months of hire.
• Initial certification in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) required within the first year, with bi-annual recertification.

Physical Requirements
• Prolonged standing and working for up to 12 hours a day.
• Ability to lift and turn patients with assistance as needed.
• Communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
