Registered Nurse-Pediatric Med​/Surg Float in Arlington, MA

Position: Registered Nurse-Pediatric Med/Surg Float, 36, 30,24 hrs- $10K Sign-On
Position Summary
• We’re looking for a Registered Nurse to join our innovative Pediatric Float pool to meet the ever-changing staffing needs across the enterprise; with the opportunity to bring your expertise and work in a variety of inpatient settings.
Key Responsibilities
• Providing competent nursing care to patients (newborn – adult) and their families across all inpatient settings including the surgical, medical, oncology and neuroscience units.
• Potential for cross training in additional areas including Emergency Department, Gastroenterology Procedure Unit (GPU), IV team, Inpatient Psychiatry and Infusion Centers.
• Delivering family-centered care as a member of a multidisciplinary team that provides expert care.
• Working in a fast paced, collaborative environment with many opportunities for learning and career growth with comprehensive orientation to meet individual needs.
• Opportunities to be involved in hospital wide committees and to precept new staff and nursing students.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
• A bachelor's degree in nursing
Experience:
• A minimum of 1-year inpatient acute care RN experience required with a wide range of diagnoses preferred. Pediatrics RN experience preferred.
• Ability to work 50% Day/Night rotations, every third weekend, and flexibility of availability required. Straight nights with every third weekend also available.
Licensure/Certification s
• Current Massachusetts license as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• * This position is eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus for 36 hour per week hires (pro-rated for less than 36 hours) for RNs with a minimum of 1 year of pediatrics inpatient RN experience. (Not eligible for intern
al candidates and not eligible for former BCH employees who have worked here in the past 2 years).
• ** Additional $8.00/ hour incentive for all hours worked.

The posted pay range is Boston Children’s reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.

Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
