Registered Nurse - Pediatrics CVICU/PICU - Full Time in Chalmette, LA

This position serves as a leader in patient care within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act and ANA Code for Nurses. You'll effectively delegate and direct team members while being accountable for quality patient outcomes. Sensitivity to the diverse cultural, ethnic, and religious needs of our patients is essential. You will engage in activities to meet unit and departmental goals, demonstrating professionalism in clinical practice. Essential Requirements: • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (Bachelor's degree preferred). • Current registered nurse (RN) license in your state of practice. • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. • Certification in a clinical specialty area is preferred. Key Skills and Abilities: • Proficient in computer usage and software applications. • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present information professionally. • Exceptional organizational and time management capabilities. Physical Demands: • Heavy Work - Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently. • Regularly exposed to blood, body fluids, and tissues. • Work in direct contact with patients and clinical specimens may pose risks of communicable diseases. • Occupational hazards may involve exposure to hazardous medications or waste.
