We want your knowledge and expertise Job Summary and Qualifications As a PICU RN you will assumeresponsibility for direction and coordination of all functions in the unit on his/her designated shifts.You will collaboratewith other members of the managementteam,this individual is responsible for the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in unit.You will providedirect nursing carein accordance withestablishedpolicies and proceduresof Las Palmas Medical Center. You willcollobratewith the patient, the patient's family and other members of the health care team, theclinical RN assesses, plans, implements, evaluates,delegatesand coordinates treatment plans and the plan of care. You willassumesresponsibility for direction and coordination of all functions during the designated shift. You will functionas a resource person for staff members andassistsinnecessaryeducation of individual members of the nursing staff. You assumeresponsibility for the overall quality of nursing care provided when s/he is on duty. You will makedecisionsregardingactivities within these areas based on Administrative Operational Standards, Nursing Administrative Standards, Human Resource Standards, and Standards of Care of the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team. You willdemonstratesknowledge and application of the nursing process. You will assess andmonitorandrecognizeschanges in the patient's behavioral and physiological status;takesappropriate actionbased on assessment. What qualifications you will need: Experience 1 year of RN Experience -Required Education Associates degree in Nursing Bachelors in Sciencein Nursing- Preferred Licenses and Certifications Texas registered nurse license Basic Life Support certification (BLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) PALS Certification within 6 months of hire Las Palmas Medical Center is a 300+ bed full-service hospital in El Paso.
