Position Details:
• Location: 6 Northwestern Drive, Bloomfield, CT, 06002
• Secondary Location: 546 Cromwell Avenue, Rocky Hill, CT 06067
• Department: Pediatrics
• Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with varying hours between 8:00 AM and 5:30 PM. This position includes one evening shift until 6:00 PM and one Saturday each month from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM.
In this role, you will support the care team and our patients by providing and documenting nursing care in line with established standards and practices. You will educate patients and coordinate services to ensure their needs are met. As the liaison between patients, staff, and providers, you will ensure that all patient interactions and clinical activities are documented accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).
Primary Responsibilities:
• Administer and document patient care such as injections and preventive screenings.
• Triage patients according to approved protocols.
• Prepare patients for consultations by collecting and recording essential clinical information.
• Provide patient education regarding illnesses and self-management strategies.
• Execute standing orders in compliance with practice policies.
• Document all patient interactions in the EHR promptly and accurately.
• Conduct outreach to patients for follow-up appointments and service coordination.
• Manage patient phone inquiries accurately, routing messages to providers as necessary.
• Monitor task lists to ensure timely responses to patient needs and follow-ups.
• Collaborate with Regional Nurse Managers to complete annual CLIA competencies.
• Support the Clinical Lead and act as a resource for other clinical staff.
• Mentor new clinical team members.
• Maintain communication with the care team and regional management.
• Stay updated on coding, OSHA, CLIA regulations, and company policies.
• Adhere to patient safety and infection control protocols.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program.
• Active, unrestricted RN license in Connecticut.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• CPR/BLS Certification.
• Experience with electronic health records such as Epic.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.
• Experience in a hospital or medical office setting.
• Pediatric nursing experience.
• Experience in phone triage.
Compensation will reflect local labor market trends, education, experience, and certifications. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes incentive programs, stock purchase options, and 401k contributions (subject to eligibility). The hourly pay for this role ranges from $28.27 to $50.48 based on full-time employment.
