Overview Job Description - Registered Nurse-Pediatrics ) Memorial Medical Center of Las Cruces Responsibilities • The RN provides compassionate care demonstrating the five basic caring processes in all interactions with patients and their families. • The RN encourages and recognizes colleagues who exemplify the vision and principles of Relationship Based Care. • As MMC team members, we hold each other and ourselves accountable to our Standards of Excellence in everything we do. • The RN assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame, providing care to his/her assigned patients utilizing the nursing process, taking a leadership role in prioritizing and coordinating care with other health care team members. • The RN provides service to patients throughout the life span including newborns, children, adolescents, adults and geriatric age groups. Qualifications • Minimum Education: Graduate of a School of Nursing program. • Minimum Experience: Experience in an acute care facility preferred. • Certification/Licensure: Current New Mexico RN license or compact RN license required. Current CPR required. • Pediatrics: Completion of PALS within six (6) months of employment. • New Hires: Required certification must be obtained within one (1) year of employment. If currently certified, must maintain current certification. • ACLS: is required for all areas where moderate sedation is performed. • Certification or completion courses must meet the standards of Memorial Medical Center. #J-18808-Ljbffr
