Job Summary and Responsibilities In this role, under the supervision of the unit director, you will oversee all functions within the unit during your designated shifts. Your responsibilities will include: • Coordinating patient admission and discharge processes for optimal throughput and high-quality care. • Engaging in continuous assessment of patient care quality alongside the management team. • Fostering teamwork by collaborating with other managers and subject matter experts to enhance service outcomes. • Championing a patient-first philosophy and addressing any service recovery needs. • Implementing operational nursing strategies to boost staff engagement and patient care standards. • Participating in the interviewing, hiring, and training process for new nursing staff. • Managing staff schedules based on patient care needs and productivity guidelines. • Assuring proper inventory control and supply management. Qualifications To be considered for this position, you will need: • A current Colorado RN license and certifications in BLS, PALS, and ACLS. • A degree from an accredited nursing program; a BSN is preferred. • A minimum of four years of clinical experience in your specialty with leadership or management experience preferred. • Demonstrated competencies in clinical and leadership skills with a commitment to patient safety and positive outcomes. • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.
