As a Registered Nurse in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), you will play a vital role in recovering patients from anesthesia and managing their postoperative care. We are a fast-paced 28-bed unit receiving patients from over 40 operating rooms, providing 24/7 care for a variety of surgical services, including: • General Surgery • Urology • Gynecology • Neurosurgery • Plastic Surgery • Thoracic and Vascular Surgery • Cardiac Procedures (TAVR) • Bariatric Surgery • Colorectal Surgery • ENT and OMF Surgery • GI Advanced Procedures • Outpatient Colonoscopy and Endoscopy We prefer candidates with ICU experience, but will consider those with ED, Step-down, and floor level experience based on individual qualifications. As an external candidate, you must have ACLS certification, as our unit frequently cares for ICU and step-down patients. Our nurse-to-patient ratio is 2:1, allowing you to provide focused and compassionate care. Qualifications: • Current Connecticut RN License • Graduate of an accredited nursing school • ICU experience preferred • BSN preferred • BLS certification by the American Heart Association required prior to date of hire • ACLS required for external candidates At Hartford HealthCare, we value our employees and offer numerous opportunities for career development and growth.
