Position Summary As a Registered Nurse in Postpartum & Nursery, you will provide quality obstetric, neonatal, and gynecologic nursing care. Our focus is on holistic patient needs, integrating emotional support with superior medical care to achieve optimal patient well-being. Position Requirements • Licensed by the State of Tennessee • Nursing diploma or degree from an accredited institution • BLS certification within 90 days of hire • Preferred: At least one year of perinatal experience • NRP certification within six months of hire • ACLS certification or agreement to obtain within six months of hire • Able to function effectively in stressful situations • Able to return to work within 1 hour when on call Workplace Experience: Perinatal Healthcare Delivery Performance Standards: • Conduct comprehensive assessments on all patients at admission. • Develop individualized care plans based on patient needs. • Plan for patient education and discharge requirements. • Independently operate treatments and medical equipment per protocols. • Safely handle and administer medications in line with policies. • Document patient care accurately and promptly. • Evaluate patient responses and adjust care plans as necessary. • Manage charge responsibilities and assign staff according to patient needs. • Maintain a healing environment for patients and families. • Meet ongoing qualifications through in-services and meetings. • Demonstrate accountability for unit duties and communications. • Uphold professional appearance standards.
